$902.00
Pair of 4-pot alloy calipers suit 7.5″disc brakes with 10″ wheels.
Kit includes pad retaining pins but not brake pads.
Note: uses Metro pads which have to be modified by cutting or filing off a small corner part of the metal on two pads. This does not impair the performance of the brakes, one of the advantages of alloy calipers is they dissipate heat quicker, reducing the chance of fluid boiling. The design also helps to expel pad dust and heat from the contact area. The 4 pot design provides more uniform pressure and far superior braking by virtue of 2 pistons each pushing against the pad, increasing pad contact and brake efficiency. IF FITTING TO HYDRO CARS BEWARE OF CLEARANCE PROBLEMS IF ADJ TIE BARS AND NEG CAMBER ARMS ARE FITTED ALTHOUGH NOT ADVISED.
Fitted with 2 larger bleed screws for ease of bleeding when servicing, some calipers which only have the one small bleed screw become corroded, seized and may break off. Please ensure all the old brake fluid is removed from the system before fitting the new calipers to prevent contaminated brake fluid from becoming lodged under the bleed nipples which could cause problems.

Usually fitted by a machine/engineering facility.
Spridgets and Minors have the same block as the Mini, therefore these same cam bearings.

Camshaft Thrust Plate, goes behind the camshaft pulley in the timing chain area.
Good maintenance, just as you would never rebuild your motor without replacing the crank thrust washers, you should also care about the camshaft thrust plate. Sometimes called the “triangle plate” this small but important plate doesn’t just hold the cam to the block, but has to locate it within the proper tolerance. There is a bearing surface on the plate, and when that wears the cam can literally walk back and forth. The point here is that any time you have the cam plate off you should replace it, as you would with any engine bearing.
