Roller Tip Rocker Kit 1.5:1 Less Spacers
Hi-Lift forged rockers on special rocker shaft with AEG167 adjuster screws for road or race. When fitting make sure posts are equally tightened down this should eliminate stress fractures of the shaft.
Using 1.5 ratio high lift rockers has become very popular as they are effective at high revs
This 1.5 ratio forged rockers set will replace the standard versions and give significant gains on 1275cc units.Kit contains 8 rockers, adjusting screws, 4 steel pedestals and a heavy duty rocker shaft.
Valve clearances are recommended to be opened up by .003″ over recommended settings, although up to .005″ can be beneficial with certain combinations. Using the 1.5 ratio not only increases the maximum lift but it also means that the valve is open approximately 20% more at any given point- although opening and closing periods remain the same. This vastly improves volumetric efficiency and therefore power output

Inlet Valve, 35.58 mm diameter (1.4″ dia, 3.57″ long)
As it is possible, even common, to swap one head for another on 1275 Mini Cooper engines, it is quite easy to become confused, or worse yet, confuse the parts-guy when it is time to order new valves! Be aware that if the head has been worked on previously, it may have oversized valves or undersized seats. Unless you are 100% sure what is in your cylinder head, it is a good idea to remove a valve for accurate measurement. There are two lengths used (nominally 3.44″ & 3.56″) three different keepers, (wide, narrow, and three-groove) and many different head diameters!
