The original housings are well known common fail points for all TDV6 engines. Over time, the original plastic housings fatigue from years of heat cycling during normal operation and eventually become brittle and crack, causing coolant leaks. This is more prevalent for vehicles that often engage in plenty of towing. This upgraded aluminium housing is designed to the exact same dimensions and shape as the original for ease of fitment.
While this upgraded alloy unit is the perfect option for vehicles that are used in more difficult conditions such as regular towing, off-roading or high ambient temperature locations, they are also a perfect peace of mind upgrade for everyday running vehicles as they offer a significant increase in lifespan and reliability.
