Rear Suspension Lower Hub Bush Tool – for Land Rover

Description

Part of a range of vehicle specific tools, for the removal and fitting of bushes and ball joints, without having to remove suspension legs, subframes, wishbones and trailing arms etc from the vehicle. Designed to be used in-situ, although can also be used in a workshop press if circumstances require.

Applications: Discovery 3 and 4 (from 2004), Range Rover Sport (from 2005) and Range Rover L322 (2003 – 2012).
Equivalent to OEM 204-516.
Spare parts available: Thrust Nut (Part No. 2138), Threaded Bar (Part No. 1319).
Use with Ratchet Ring Spanner – Flexi Head 24mm (Part No. 5753).

These two new rear suspension bush tools are designed for the Range Rover L322 (2003-2012), the Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Discovery 3 and 4.

The lower hub bush tool (part number 5977) and the upper hub bush tool (part number 5978) have been developed to allow the technician to remove and refit these rear suspension bushes with the minimum of dismantling required. Being able to perform the task on the vehicle saves considerable time over the more traditional use of a workshop press and the requirement that the hub be completely removed.

For reference, the 5977 bush tool (OEM equivalent 204-516) has been specifically designed to work with OEM bush RBK500220, and the 5978 bush tool (OEM equivalent 204-515) has been specifically designed to work with OEM bush RHF000260.
